Summer Intern – Data Visualization, Experiential R&D
HARMAN International is a global company focused on transforming technology for automotive applications. The Experiential R&D Department is seeking a Summer Intern to assist with data analysis and reporting of automotive audio evaluation results, supporting the development of dashboards and integrating data insights.

Responsibilities
Assist with the analysis and creation of Experiential R&D reports and data requests
Provide support for testing, data entry, and database maintenance
Support global data needs by developing dashboards for common requests
Integrate objective data with subjective feedback to mine for insights
Support ML/AI development activities and feature development
Work alongside teammates in Germany, Japan, India and China toward a common goal and maintain a global database
Qualification
Required
Must have taken courses in or closely related to Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science, Computer Science/Engineering, Object-Oriented Programming, Mobile App Development, Information Visualization, Database Development, Advanced Mathematics, and/or Statistics
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact with and present information to senior leaders and executives
Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with Python, Machine Learning, Big Data Structures
Results orientated mindset
Must be currently enrolled in a related Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan
Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week
Preferred
Demonstrated experience leading projects to completion
Interest in the audio or automotive industry
Experience with Qlik, Snowflake, AWS, S3, Databricks, Matillion
Network Programming & Socket Proficiency in TCP/UDP socket programming, WebSockets, or similar network communication protocols
Programming Languages & Frameworks Proficiency in one or more high-level languages (e.g., C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, Rust) used for networked applications
