Responsibilities
Identify and validate new growth opportunities
Develop and manage strategic account plans
Build and manage the growth pipeline

Expand into high‑value applications and new market segments
Provide ongoing market and competitive intelligence
Data-driven decision making
Build strategic partnerships and external relationships
Track, measure, and communicate business development activities and impact
Owns defined market segments, customers or application spaces (e.g., infrastructure, energy, mobility, defense) and serves as the internal market expert for assigned growth areas
Accountable for segment and customer-level plans that define customer strategy, value drivers, technical requirements, and competitive dynamics to drive targeted, value-based growth
Accountable for driving opportunities from idea through qualification, business case development, and contract execution by aligning cross-functional stakeholders through defined stage gates
Responsible for value-based growth by developing pricing strategies, ROI models, and margin improvement cases while ensuring opportunities meet profitability and risk thresholds
Regular reporting and engagement with the Director of Business Development and other internal stakeholders on opportunities and strategic priorities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field
5 years minimum in business development, technical sales, or commercial strategy in stainless steel, specialty metals, or industrial manufacturing
Experience owning account plans and engaging customers at technical, operational, and executive levels to align solutions with customer strategy
Strong financial acumen, including experience with pricing strategies, margin management, and ROI analysis
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating effectively with technical, new product development, operations, finance, and supply chain teams
Proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven decision-making
Willingness to travel as required to support customer engagement, partnership development, and market expansion
Effective in building and maintaining strong customer relationships
Strong written and oral communications skills
Excellent prioritization, organizational and time management skills
Ability to analyze segment trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions
