General Pediatric Primary Care Provider & Internal Medicine Float Physician
The University of Wisconsin is seeking a General Pediatrician to join their Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, with additional responsibilities as an Internal Medicine Float Physician. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care in an outpatient setting and participating in clinical teaching and administrative duties.

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive patient care in the outpatient setting. Duties may include clinical teaching of medical students residents, and fellows, as well as administrative duties. Individuals may also be called upon to fill clinical needs at UW Health Urgent Care Centers. The preferred candidate will either have experience teaching and working with a diverse population or will welcome a commitment to teaching and working with a diverse population
Our providers participate in clinical teaching of fellows, residents and medical students, and support the teaching and clinical research missions of the division and department
Clinical expectations include providing clinical care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting in General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine
Physicians hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members
Qualification
Required
WI Medical license by start date of position
Board-certified or board eligible in Pediatrics by start date of position
Completion of a US ACGME-approved pediatric residency program by the start date of the position
Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges, by the start date of the position
Must be Board Eligible in Internal Medicine by the start date of position. Eligible certifications include American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM)
MD or DO, or equivalent required
Preferred
For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CT or CHS track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS or CT track
