Start in 2026 WinterLam Research is dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of etch and deposition products in the semiconductor industry. They are seeking a Process Engineering Intern to participate in projects focused on developing features for the Lam SABRE 3D electroplating system and supporting testing and characterization in process development.

Responsibilities
Participate in projects applying engineering and electrodeposition methodologies towards developing features on Lam SABRE 3D electroplating system to enhance equipment and reactor performance
Support testing and characterization in process and product development. These duties include setting up and running bench scale experiments, operation of a deposition development tool, chemistry and material analysis, and use of metrology tools to measure and characterize on-wafer deposition performance
Further R&D support activities also include data compilation, organization, and conducting scientific journal research
Qualification
Required

The individual must be willing to take on technical challenges and help identify world-class solutions
Preferred
Pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Material Science
Available to intern for 6-months ideally starting in February 2026
Hands on experience working in a laboratory
Experience working on/troubleshooting complex equipment and systems
Knowledge in electrochemistry/electrodeposition a plus especially in areas of copper, tin and tin-alloys, and nickel
