Responsibilities
Perform landscape architectural design and project management duties to complete complex architectural projects for new and rehabilitation of building plans and designs
Prepare landscape architectural drawings and details, specifications, estimates, and/or studies for design projects under the direction of licensed staff
Coordinate design drawings and related specifications, construction costs estimates, etc., with the other technical disciplines
Actively manage the schedule of assigned projects according to workload, priorities, and design schedules
Review reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates prepared by design consultants
Actively oversee consultant design work for assigned projects
Develop and maintain project documentation, including records of meetings, correspondence, and progress
Review shop drawings, respond to contractor Requests for Information, create and/or review Information Bulletins, and provide similar construction administration and observation during the project’s construction
Perform a full range of supervisory duties, including reviewing the work of subordinate staff
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of Sections 1 and 2 of the New York Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE)
One year of experience planning and designing landscape development and site improvement projects
Overseeing the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of outdoor spaces and other open areas for transportation facilities, buildings, parks, historic sites, recreational facilities, campuses, gardens, playgrounds, and roads and highways
Current New York State Professional Landscape Architect's License with current registration
