Required

Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
Biomedical Equipment Technician Certificate from an accredited college AND/OR Hands-on Training-Completed Biomedical Internship at a hospital facility/surgery center, gaining practical experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of clinical equipment in a healthcare environment
Minimum of six months Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) work experience or equivalent biomedical training/volunteer internship
Mechanical, electromechanical and electronic skills, including ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics, perform electrical, electromechanical and mechanical assembly and repair
General knowledge of medical equipment
Ability to communicate with staff and vendors regarding equipment issues with both verbal and written communication methods

Preferred

Certified Biomedical Technician (CBET)
Associates Degree in Electronic Technology
1-year Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) work experience
