Metal Fabrication Account Manager
UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Metal Tube Account Manager to drive sales growth in targeted accounts. The role involves managing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and collaborating with operations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Drive revenue into targeted accounts by selling tubes and other value-added products, while creating demand for both existing and new products through various business opportunities
Service and managing existing customers by handling quotes, purchase orders (POs), and inventory, while addressing any challenges they may face
Cultivate strong relationships with customers and prospects, serving as a subject matter expert on steel tube and metal fabricated products and understanding their business needs
Work closely with operations to achieve sales objectives and ensure seamless customer service, while also representing the company at trade shows and industry events
Gather and report insights into industry trends and customer needs to inform strategic planning and business development
Identify new business opportunities, including acquisitions and product developments, while acquiring a minimum of ten new non-purchasing contacts per month in target accounts
Diagnose and resolve potential quality claims in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Team to maintain product integrity
Function as the primary contact for new quotations, ensuring follow-ups and tracking orders throughout the sales cycle, while consistently exceeding monthly sales quotas
Develop a plan to grow major prospects within the first 30 days and provide accurate weekly sales forecasts with actionable goals, while performing additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 3 years in industrial sales is required
Strong skills in account management, negotiation, and closing sales
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Energetic, proactive individual passionate about sales and customer service
Strong client acquisition skills through cold calling and networking
Proven skills in account management, negotiation, and closing sales

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Availability for vehicle and air travel at least 60% of working days, including overnight trips
Ability to allocate time effectively, with 40% on prospecting, 20% on client meetings, 25% on market research, and 15% on networking

Preferred
A bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent experience is preferred
5+ years of outside sales experience in a related industry preferred
Experience in steel-fabricated goods sales is highly desirable
Familiarity with sales tech tools (e.g., HubSpot, PowerBi, ZoomInfo) is a plus
