Development Internship Summer 2026 – Part-Time

Museum of the Bible is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Intern to support fundraising operations and departmental leadership during the summer term. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, events, and administrative operations within a museum setting.

Museums & Institutions

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and organizational support to Development Department leadership
Track, update, and maintain donor records and interactions within Salesforce with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
Assist with data entry, reporting, and donor research to support fundraising initiatives
Support the planning, preparation, and execution of donor events and development activities as needed
Coordinate schedules, materials, and internal communications related to development projects
Assist with gift processing documentation and stewardship efforts
Collaborate with Development and other Museum departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication
Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned to support departmental goals
Support various teams within Development as needed: Church Engagement, Memberships, Government Relations

Required

Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a college or university program
Strong interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, or museum administration
Experience with or willingness to learn Salesforce or similar CRM systems
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling donor information
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relational, dependable, and service-oriented with a positive attitude
Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, Museum Studies, or related field. Recent graduates may also be considered
