Technical Support Technician

Responsibilities
Handle inbound and outbound technical support calls (approximately 30–40 calls per day)
Take full ownership of support tickets from assignment through resolution
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
Document issues, workarounds, and resolutions clearly and accurately
Communicate ticket updates, outages, and resolution status to customers
Follow established escalation procedures and collaborate with Tier II support
Contribute to and maintain an online Knowledge Base
Provide technical assistance to regional sales teams as needed
Participate in an after-hours support rotation
Act as a customer advocate throughout the support process
Qualification
Required
2–3+ years of IT helpdesk and/or application support experience
Strong troubleshooting experience across: Hardware, Software, Networking
Technical knowledge includes: RAID technologies and virtual disk management, SQL Server queries and updates, Windows Server (2008/2012/2016) and Windows 7/8/10, Linux command-line experience (Ubuntu or CentOS preferred), Azure Cloud fundamentals, Active Directory and DNS, Networking: routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi technologies, Virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware), Internet protocols and certificates (HTTPS, SSL/TLS), PowerShell scripting
Ability to create Knowledge Base articles and FAQs
High school diploma required
Preferred
Experience Level: 4–7 years preferred
IT-related degree preferred
Linux command-line experience (Ubuntu or CentOS preferred)
Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A+, MCP / MCSE, CNA / CCNA, Linux-related certifications
