Event Planner Specialist
AmeriLife is a leader in the development, marketing, and distribution of insurance solutions for retirement planning. The Event Planner Specialist will be responsible for planning and organizing live or virtual events, coordinating logistics, managing budgets, and ensuring a positive guest experience throughout the event lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Plan, design and produce events while managing all project delivery elements within time limits
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify their needs and to ensure satisfaction
Conduct market research, gather information and negotiate contracts to maximize budgets
Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
Organize and manage all event details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, etc
Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities
Manage event budget and task list, ensuring event is completed within budget and on-time
Coordinate with communications to promote and publicize event when appropriate
Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day
Coordinate with Manager to Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes
Research market, identify event opportunities and generate interest
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Event Management, related field preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum of three (3) to four (4) years of experience with planning and managing corporate events
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to influence and sell event strategies
Create and maintain productive working partnerships
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Ability to travel to events and meetings
MS Office proficiency
Superior customer service experience
Exceptional project management skillsets
Ability to work across cross-functional teams and coordinating complex projects
Strong reporting and follow-up skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to innovate and problem-solve on the fly
