Assistant Teaching Professor - Public Relations

The University of Colorado Boulder is inviting applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in Public Relations. This full-time, non-tenure track position will involve teaching three courses per semester and supporting the development of the Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communication curriculum while maintaining industry relationships to generate opportunities for students.

Teach three classes per semester in our undergraduate public relations curriculum
Encourage and to support student participation in local and national awards
Support internship opportunities
Support student involvement in professional associations
Support student events run by CU, CMDI, and/or APRD

Qualification

Master's degreePublic relations experienceUniversity teaching experienceCommunications strategiesInclusive pedagogies

Required

A master's degree in strategic communication, corporate communication, public relations, or closely aligned field
Professional experience in public relations
Experience teaching at the university level, including proven evidence of teaching quality
Demonstrated commitment to and experience with inclusive pedagogies and the mentoring of a diverse range of undergraduate students and openness to creative interchange with colleagues
Experience developing communications strategies for recognized organizations, corporations and/or brands, locally, nationally and/or internationally
