Responsibilities
Build and maintain financial models of different aspects of the business and provide recommendations on pricing and budgets based on such models
Help develop and implement new financial dashboards and reports to improve data visibility and drive efficiency
Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly
Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies
Participate in analysis and documentation of financial processes and recommend improvements and efficiencies
Interpret and apply corporate financial policies, government legislation and accounting theory
Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, relevant regulatory requirements, and operating forecasts
Assist all departments in the development of the annual budget, grant budgets planning, and other corporate financial requirements
Evaluate moderately complex grant and funding plans, operating records, and financial statements
Assist in routine accounting duties and control functions including data input, account review and reconciliation, and completing general ledger entries on an “as needed” basis
Serve as contingent back-up to others in the department with routine accounting processes

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience, required
Minimum 4 years of experience in financial reporting
Minimum 4 years of experience in fiscal budgeting
Minimum 3 years of experience in preparing and analyzing complex financial statements
Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting and financial systems
Intermediate skills in PowerPoint; basic skills in Word and Outlook
Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred
Experience with Jet Reporting is preferred
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred
Experience using Questica/Budget Pro management application is preferred
Grant Management and payroll experience is preferred
