Development - Event Coordinator
Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is seeking a Development Event Coordinator to support and execute fundraising events, internal celebrations, and community engagement initiatives. This role focuses on event logistics, committee coordination, volunteer management, and donor relations to ensure exceptional experiences for attendees and partners.

Responsibilities
Plan and execute events: Coordinate fundraising and internal events such as Brew Haha, a Golf Tournament, Women’s Power Luncheon, Legacy Society events, and other signature experiences
Coordinate event logistics: Oversee timelines, vendor relationships, venue coordination, and on-site execution to ensure seamless, professional events
Support sponsorships and in-kind solicitation: Assist with solicitation and coordination of sponsorships, raffle items, auctions, and donated goods
Engage volunteers and committees: Organize and communicate with volunteers and event committees, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and follow-through
Collaborate with communications: Partner with the Communications Team to support event marketing materials, promotions, and timelines
Track budgets and details: Monitor event budgets, expenses, and logistics to help ensure financial goals are met
Build community connections: Attend networking and community events to strengthen partnerships and increase awareness of Habitat Omaha’s mission
Support development initiatives: Assist the broader Development Team with campaign-related and donor-focused event logistics
Contribute where needed: Take on additional responsibilities that support organizational goals and team success
Qualification
Required
2-3 years of experience in event planning, fundraising, or a related field
Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field), or equivalent experience
Highly detail-oriented with strong project management skills
Clear, professional communicator with volunteers, vendors, and partners
Comfortable working across teams and with diverse stakeholders
Willing to pitch in, problem-solve, and flex as events evolve
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with social media and event technology tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Availability for occasional evenings and weekends
Valid driver's license
