Responsibilities
Act as a representative of the company, operating a company-provided box truck or delivery van with professionalism and courtesy to other drivers
Operate a Class C commercial vehicle in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Prioritize safety in all aspects of driving, loading, and unloading
Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately, including delivery logs, invoices, inspections, and hours of service logs. Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for each delivery
Maintain open communication with dispatch, distribution, and leadership. Report any delays, issues, or changes in delivery schedules promptly
Operation of computer/ internal freight monitoring systems required
Flexibility with scheduling and the ability to adapt to changes in delivery routes or schedules. Available for around the clock shifts to accommodate freight movements
Be able to operate forklift, electric pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks
Load and off load truck, including stop loading and wave picking orders while on route
Qualification
Required
Authorized to work in the United States
Possess a valid state issued driver's license for at least 3 years
Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record
Must possess valid DOT required medical card and be registered with DOT
2 years of previous Delivery driving experience
Comfortable operating a box truck or delivery van in all types of weather conditions
Willingness to work overtime and/or possible weekends if the business needs you to
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to sit, stand, squat, kneel, and bend repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred
HS Diploma or equivalent
Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
Experience working in a food based environment
