Responsibilities
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating corporate and commercial contracts
Negotiating business agreements and transactions
Providing day-to-day outside general counsel guidance and strategic support
Supporting the corporate legal team on assigned projects and client matters
Building strong, long-term client relationships
Delivering practical, business-minded legal advice with a solutions-oriented approach
Qualification
Required
Licensed to practice law in Virginia and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar
A resident of Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, or Maryland
4+ years of experience in corporate or transactional law
An ability to meet a 1300 billable hour expectation for eligibility for raises and bonuses
Strong drafting and negotiation skills with excellent attention to detail
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing work independently
An excellent communicator who values collaboration and client service
A solutions-oriented mindset with strong business judgment
Preferred
An existing book of business
Additional bar licenses in DC and/or Maryland
Experience with PracticePanther
