AWS Cloud Network Engineer

Responsibilities
Build and manage AWS network infrastructure (VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, VPN, Load Balancing, CloudWan, Route53, Route53 profiles, ACM, PCA
Automate network configs using Terraform or CDK
Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity issues across services and regions
Manage DNS and IP addressing schemes using Amazon Route 53 and ensure proper integration with on-premises networks
Implement secure access and segmentation (NACLs, SGs, IAM)
Partner with platform, app, and security teams to support hybrid and cloud-native environments
Document architectures, configs, and runbooks to keep things smooth and shareable
Good understanding of Public CA’s & Private CA’s
Develop and implement network security policies using AWS Security Groups, Network ACLs, and AWS WAF to control access and protect cloud infrastructure
Stay current with AWS networking best practices, emerging services, and industry trends to improve cloud network infrastructure continuously
Qualification
Required
3+ years in cloud/network engineering (AWS)
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls)
3+ years with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK)
Familiar with tools like CloudWan, Firewall manager, WAF, VPC, R53, IPAM, and any other AWS networking services
Team-first mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt

Multi-account/multi-region AWS setups
VPN, Direct Connect, or hybrid network experience
Interest in cloud security and automation
Understanding of AWS services – Control Tower, Account Factory, Service Catalog
Scripting language knowledge - Python/Nodejs
