Responsibilities
Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location
Monitor and control entry and exit points by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery documentation, and maintaining access logs per client guidelines
Operate access control systems such as badge readers, turnstiles, and gate controls, and report malfunctions, forced entries, and/or suspicious activity through established channels
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken
Perform routine inspections of designated areas near access points and building entrances to help to deter unauthorized access, and complete required reports and shift handoff communications
Qualification
Required
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
