Hardware Engineer
Global Connect Technologies is seeking an experienced Automotive Hardware Engineer to join their team in Mountain View, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive hardware development, specifically in infotainment and telematics systems.
Responsibilities
Lead hardware design and development for automotive infotainment/telematics systems
Perform Worst Case Analysis (WCA) to ensure system reliability under all operating conditions
Conduct Hardware DFMEA to identify and mitigate failure modes
Perform FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis) for safety-critical components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, software, and system engineering
Define and validate hardware requirements and specifications
Support verification, validation, and production release activities
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Drive continuous improvement in hardware design processes and quality standards
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Automotive Hardware Development
At least 2 years of experience in Infotainment and/or Telematics
Strong hands-on experience with WCA (Worst Case Analysis)
Strong hands-on experience with Hardware DFMEA
Strong hands-on experience with FMEDA
Proven track record of delivering high-quality hardware solutions in automotive environments
