Responsibilities
Serve as a team member on projects of large scope and moderate to high complexity. Able to work independently with guidance and direction as appropriate
With oversight, analyze pricing, reserving, or corporate profitability and capital management data
Analyze company and industry experience as required
Support in designing and preparing special reports and other data compilations as requested
Develop an understanding of data being collected
Communicate with internal and external customers to discuss analysis results
Gather information for competitive analysis
May prepare and present actuarial and/or analytics findings to management and business partners
Provide timely and accurate analytical support. Ensures results are validated for accuracy
Assist in providing support on routine insurance department inquiries
Assist in monitoring compliance with ISO, NCCI, State Rating Bureau filings, and SOX
Assist in maintaining pricing, reserving, or corporate capital management systems
Contribute to the relationship between systems and actuarial department
Prepare and maintain documentation for existing processes
Adhere to peer review guidelines
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance
0 to 3 years of related analytical experience preferred
Willingness to learn insurance rate making and reserving concepts
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Strong business and financial acumen, has the aptitude to learn
Intellectually curious
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and organized
