Director of Finance And Accounting
The Tabletop Group is a high-growth fast-casual restaurant brand known for its innovative menu offerings and strong guest loyalty. They are seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting to oversee financial operations, lead a finance team, and partner with operations to enhance profitability across corporate and licensed locations.

Responsibilities
Oversee all core accounting functions, including month-end/year-end close, GL management, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant financial statement preparation
Lead FP&A processes: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range planning for the entire system (corporate + licensed locations)
Build and maintain sophisticated financial models supporting unit economics, new store/licensing development, royalty/fee structures, remodels, and growth initiatives
Collaborate closely with operations leadership to monitor and improve key restaurant metrics (food cost, labor, controllable expenses, AUV, contribution margins, etc.)
Manage corporate-owned/licensing financial administration, including royalty tracking, collections, licensee financial reviews, compliance, and onboarding support
Prepare executive dashboards, reporting packages, and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders
Ensure robust internal controls, tax/regulatory compliance, and coordination with external auditors/tax advisors
Lead and mentor a lean, high-performing finance & accounting team while fostering accuracy, efficiency, and a data-driven culture
Evaluate and optimize financial systems, ERP platforms, and restaurant-specific tools to scale with continued growth
Support strategic initiatives, including potential M&A, capital raises, or licensing expansions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
8–12+ years of progressive finance/accounting leadership experience, including 5+ years at the Director level or equivalent
Direct multi-unit restaurant industry experience required —fast-casual, QSR, or casual dining preferred
Proven expertise in a mixed corporate-owned and franchised/licensed environment (royalty accounting, licensee support, system-wide reporting)
Deep knowledge of restaurant P&L drivers, unit-level economics, and operational finance in a high-volume, growth-oriented setting
Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills; advanced Excel and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities; ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies
High integrity, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture
Preferred
CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
Direct multi-unit restaurant industry experience preferred —fast-casual, QSR, or casual dining
Proficiency with restaurant/ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms) is a plus
