Sr. Manager, Global Benefits

As a Sr. Manager, Global Benefits, you will lead the strategy, design, and administration of global benefits programs across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and total rewards philosophy.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic oversight of health, welfare, retirement, timeoff, wellbeing, and ancillary benefit programs across global markets, balancing cost, competitiveness, compliance, and employee experience
Partner with regional HR, Legal, Finance, Payroll, and external advisors to ensure compliance with country specific regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and statutory benefit requirements
Manage relationships with global and local benefit vendors, brokers, insurers, and consultants; negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and drive continuous improvement and value
Lead global benefits governance, including policy development, benefit standards, eligibility rules, and approval processes to ensure consistency while allowing for local market customization
Oversee benefits budgeting, forecasting, and cost management, identifying opportunities for cost savings, plan optimization, and risk mitigation without compromising employee value
Partner with Communications to develop and deliver clear, engaging global benefits communications that help employees understand programs, eligibility, and available resources, while tailoring messaging to cultural and regional needs
Leverage technology by implementing and optimizing HRIS (e.g. Workday) and other digital platforms to streamline benefit administration and ensure data accuracy
Use data to assess program performance, utilization, employee needs, and benchmark against market trends and peer companies
Lead global rollout of new benefits programs, vendors, and policy changes while partnering with HR Operations and Payroll to ensure accurate administration and resolving complex escalations and operational issues
Drive global wellbeing initiatives including financial wellbeing, and preventive care while identifying opportunities to modernize or expand offerings
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive experience in benefits, total rewards, or HR roles, with direct ownership of employee benefits programs in multinational or global organizations
Demonstrated experience managing benefits across multiple countries and regions, including the U.S. and at least one additional region (e.g., EMEA, APAC, LATAM)
Hands on experience designing, administering, and optimizing health and welfare, retirement, wellbeing, and time off programs, including both employer sponsored and statutory benefits
Proven ability to manage complex global benefit plans, balancing local regulatory requirements with global governance and consistency
Experience partnering with and managing external vendors, including benefits brokers, consultants, insurers, administrators, auditors and wellbeing providers; includes contract negotiation and performance management
Strong analytical and project management skills in addition to the ability to influence key stakeholders
Experience facilitating annual audits for benefits to ensure accuracy and compliance
