Branch Manager
Great Lakes Credit Union is Hiring great people for our great team! The Branch Manager is responsible for managing and directing the business activities of the branch staff, ensuring excellent service to members and developing staff to achieve branch goals.
Responsibilities
Manage and direct the business activities of the branch staff
Demonstrate and reinforce a sense of urgency and commitment to providing excellent products and services to members
Develop staff to enhance accuracy, timeliness, sales & service within the branch
Maintain a work environment conducive to teamwork with a high level of performance and productivity
Support the Standards of Greatness and maintain positive working relationships by supporting the GLCU Standards of Greatness
Perform with a high level of operational knowledge, comfortable in the day-to-day operations
Direct operations and sales of the branch and support and promote a sales and service-driven culture
Achieve defined GLCU and branch goals
Coach and develop team members to achieve defined GLCU and branch goals
Ensure that internal procedures are understood, followed, and referenced when necessary
Ensure that Sr. Management is informed of problematic situations in a timely manner
Ensure the branch opens for daily operations and is balanced and secured each business day
Ensure security and maintenance of Branch assets including property, equipment, records, cash, and negotiable instruments, and maintain accurate records
Exercise discretion and independent judgment in interpreting policies and procedures, making exceptions as required
Resolve member complaints, tactfully explaining specific policies and procedures
Participate in community/networking activities, e.g., chamber of commerce and other local community organizations
Hold periodic team meetings, daily huddles, and one-on-ones with assigned personnel to deliver recognition for successes, discuss areas needing improvement, communicate changes in procedures, provide direction, and present general information
Maintain favorable relations with internal departments and outside vendors
Comply with federal and state regulations and internal controls and expectations in compliance with GLCU’s policies and procedures
Perform duties of a Member Specialist as required
Participate in project teams as necessary
Participate in planning, developing, and implementing training sessions
Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, and follow all GLCU policies, procedures and internal controls
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Min 1 year tenure as an Assistant Branch Manager strongly preferred
Proficient in all the Retail areas of responsibility
Completion of the Leadership training program
Management experience as an Assistant Manager, Branch Manager of a financial institution, or a retail/food services manager
