Responsibilities
Manage all technical activities related to the plant's PLC-controlled paint system, including documentation, ladder logic, board/software revisions, and interface coordination
Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems, PLCs, and robotic equipment
Lead automation and controls engineering modifications for new and existing projects, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations
Stay current with emerging technologies (PLC or otherwise) and evaluate their potential application
Act as project manager for engineering projects as assigned by leadership
Support broader electrical engineering needs across current and future systems
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Documented experience with Allen-Bradley (or similar) PLC systems including hardware, software, and ladder logic
Proven hands-on experience with robotic systems and interface design
Strong PC proficiency and ability to navigate industrial software environments
Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics and technical documentation
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Candidates currently enrolled in a degree program with relevant work experience will also be considered
