Responsibilities
Strong understanding of the 'Clear To Build' report AKA CTB. Some companies call it a shortage report or build status report. Note: CTB 'Clear to Build' is essentially an MRP. Building stuff in batches/batch building aka Batch Production, job production, lot production, etc. are all additional terms associated with CTB/MRP's
Experience with Manual Demand Planning, Manual Production Planning, Manual MRP is the key requirement
Analyze manufacturing build plans against inventory/supply chain data in order to determine demand for materials replenishment
Retrieve quotes from suppliers & submit PO's
Manage delivery schedules in order to ensure materials arrive ahead of required dates
Track/Mitigate Excess and Obsolescence

Advanced spreadsheet / Excel skills; Ability to generate complex dashboards, tools, and reports. Experience with excel formulas like - VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, IFERROR, INDEX, MATCH, MIN, etc
Solid experience working as a Materials PM, Buyer/Planner, Materials Planners, or similar
Understand how to read and understand bill of materials (BOM's) and manage inventory accuracy
Strong knowledge of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) system functionality
