Responsibilities
Lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity and IT policies, standards, and guidelines
Continuously assess, update, and improve policies to ensure they remain effective and aligned with industry standards
Ensure compliance with regulations and frameworks such as NIST, FFIEC, GLBA, NYDFS, SOX, and PCI-DSS
Partner with IT, legal, compliance, and business teams to align cybersecurity policies with organizational needs
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible guidance for end users
Provide expert consultation on risk assessments, reporting, and mitigation strategies
Maintain accurate documentation related to policy reviews, risk assessments, audits, and training activities
Benchmark policies against industry best practices and support continuous improvement efforts
Lead internal and external audit engagements related to cybersecurity policy and governance, ensuring findings are addressed through to closure
Monitor KPIs, analyze gaps, evaluate control effectiveness, and recommend enhancements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
5-6+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), policy development, risk management, or a similar discipline
Hands-on experience with GRC platforms such as Archer, ServiceNow, or OneTrust
Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel and Power BI
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
Proven ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives to completion
Preferred
Industry certifications such as CISM or CISA strongly preferred
