Responsibilities
Develop innovative organic and organometallic molecules using advanced synthetic methodologies to meet specific performance criteria for OLED devices
Investigate and analyze the photophysical, electrochemical, and thermal properties of synthesized compounds to assess their suitability for OLED applications
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams of chemists, physicists, and engineers to optimize molecular structures and synthetic routes for scalability and device integration
Apply deep knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry to solve complex challenges in material stability, efficiency, and color purity
Contribute to the development of next-generation OLED materials through continuous innovation and rigorous research
Ensure accurate documentation of experiments, maintain a clean and safe lab environment, and uphold responsible laboratory conduct
Qualification
Required
PhD in Chemistry
In depth understanding and proven experience with the synthesis and characterization of organic and/or organometallic compounds
Demonstrated experience multi-step organic synthesis and/or organic synthesis methodology is preferred
Demonstrated understanding of organic and organometallic reaction mechanisms
Knowledge of modern analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, UV) and instrumentation (automated purification systems) for the isolation and identification of organic compounds
Experienced in basic computer software and internet applications including: MS Office Suit, ChemDraw, e-notebook and LIMS
Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction
Ability to perform and succeed in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with peers and management
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in an efficient, proactive manner
Demonstrated track record of accuracy and thoroughness
