Strategic Account Manager

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary strategic lead and trusted advisor for assigned clients
Build and maintain strong, transparent client relationships grounded in trust and credibility
Lead integrated marketing strategy across brand, content, digital, PR, creative, events, and campaigns
Support the translation of complex technologies and offerings into clear, compelling positioning and messaging in line with water sector applications and use cases
Collaborate with internal specialists (creative, PR, digital, project management) to ensure alignment between client strategic and tactical programs and campaigns
Share insights from the market and from performance analytics to shape future efforts
Anticipate client needs and bring proactive, strategic solutions
Leverage knowledge of the evolving regulatory environment shaping water quality, discharge, reuse, liability risks to position clients credibly and strategically within their sectors
Guide audience definition, persona development, and go-to-market strategy
Maintain visibility into scope, priorities, budgets, and timelines in partnership with project management
Represent Bā with confidence and credibility in client meetings, strategy sessions and select industry events
Serve as the primary decision-maker on client strategy, priorities, and recommendations, in partnership with the Director of Strategy and Growth
Ensure client commitments are met and delivered on strategy, on time, and on budget
Hold internal and external stakeholders accountable to agreed-upon goals
Lead status and strategy conversations with clarity and confidence
Ensure consistency and quality across deliverables without micromanaging production
Own revenue health and growth for assigned accounts, including retention, expansion, and forecasting
Maintain visibility into client pipeline, renewal timing, and expansion opportunities in partnership with the Director of Strategy and Growth
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand scope based on client needs
Contribute to proposal development and pitch support for new business opportunities
Help shape new service offerings and tools based on market need
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: account leadership, sales, marketing strategy, product marketing, or related B2B role in the water space (e.g. filtration, pumping, metering, analytics, chemical treatment, digital, infrastructure, etc.)
Background working in industrial environments and verticals like food + beverage, manufacturing, energy, ultrapure water, mining or semiconductors
Proven ability to lead client relationships and integrated marketing programs
Experience translating complex solutions into clear value propositions
Strong strategic thinking paired with the ability to drive execution through others
Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced agency environment with multiple clients
Organized, proactive, and confident in navigating ambiguity
Preferred
Experience marketing, selling or managing smart water solutions, digital transformation, SaaS, or IoT
Product marketing or go-to-market experience for technical or complex B2B solutions
Engineering, science, or technically-focused background—or demonstrated comfort working with technical teams
Experience with productivity tools such as ClickUp, HubSpot, and/or EOS (Traction)
