Research And Development Engineer

Advantage Technical is seeking an R&D Engineer II to develop products, materials, processes, or equipment for projects of moderate complexity. Responsibilities

Participate fully and contribute effectively to cross-functional project teams, including activities such as product design and development, materials testing, specification preparation, process capability studies, research investigations (animal and clinical studies), report preparation, and process/test documentation
Independently plan and schedule work activities to meet established project timelines
Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments
Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures as needed
Troubleshoot issues related to new products or processes, including design, material, or process challenges
Summarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from test results
Prepare standard technical reports and documentation to communicate results to the broader technical community
Maintain accurate and complete engineering documentation
Generate concepts and designs for new products or processes and submit idea disclosures
Train and/or provide work direction to technicians, as required
Collaborate closely with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure project success
Demonstrate knowledge of PDP/TPD systems through the delivery of high-quality, compliant deliverables
Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with applicable quality system requirements and standards

Required

Bachelor's degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field
2–3 years of experience with polymers and/or biomaterials
Hands-on experience working in a wet laboratory environment
Experience with analytical techniques and methods for material characterization
