Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for marine and waterfront structures, including port facilities, wharves, piers, bulkheads, retaining structures, and associated infrastructure
Assist with the preparation of structural calculations, technical memoranda, design reports, and supporting documentation in accordance with project requirements and client standards
Support the development of plans, details, and specifications in coordination with senior engineers and designers
Apply applicable codes, standards, and guidelines to ensure designs meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, geotechnical, coastal, and construction professionals, to support integrated project delivery
Participate in internal quality control processes and respond to review comments under the direction of senior staff
Support project teams through various phases of project development, from conceptual and preliminary design through final design and construction support
Maintain organized project files and documentation consistent with AECOM procedures and quality management systems

Required

BA/BS + Four (4) years of professional structural engineering experience or equivalent (with emphasis on structural engineering)
Proficiency with SAP2000, MathCAD, and Microsoft Excel for structural analysis and calculations
Experience preparing or supporting design documentation using AutoCAD or Revit (either is acceptable)
Familiarity with producing clear, well-documented engineering calculations and reports

Preferred

Master's degree in Structural Engineering
Exposure to infrastructure, transportation, marine, or waterfront projects
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based engineering environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and technical accuracy
Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and internal coordination
