The role involves performing technical calculations, reviewing design drawings, coordinating projects, and assisting with estimating material quantities.

Responsibilities
Perform routine calculations for structural integrity, buoyancy, and external stability
Review drawings done by in-house drafters for conformance with contract documents and in-house structural calculations
Check accuracy of reinforcing schedules and bills of materials
Communicate with other departments, customers, consulting engineers about project timelines, RFI’s, other critical project needs
Assist with estimating by performing material quantity take-offs and preliminary calculations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or closely related field
Concrete design experience (precast preferred). Other related experience and recent graduates will be considered
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), AutoCAD, Mathcad, and Staad
Eagerness to work on diverse project types and develop new engineering techniques
Ability to translate technical details into clear written reports and oral presentations for technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Precision in reviewing drawings is critical for financial and safety concerns
