Scientist II, Biotherapeutics Discovery

Katalyst CRO is seeking a highly motivated research scientist to join the Cell and Functional Biology group. The role involves designing and executing assays for antibody identification and optimization, as well as collaborating to generate data packages supporting proof of concept. Responsibilities

Onboarding of materials and cataloging into our internal systems with a strong attention to quality and details when exercising organizational, documentation and communication skills
Conduct high throughput antibody screening and characterization to assess binding, functional and polyreactive attributes
Analyze and interpret results, placing data in proper scientific context through review of relevant literature and reporting these findings at team meetings
Perform general laboratory research competently and independently, modifying and troubleshooting experimental design and instrumentation to suit the needs of research
Support the expansion of high throughput screening platforms and assay design and the evaluation of Client technologies
The ideal candidate is expected to work on multiple projects in a team environment

Required

BS or MS (PhD will be considered) with 3-5 years of industry experience in Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience or another related field
Strong attention to quality and details when exercising organizational, documentation and communication skills
Proficient in conceptualization and implementation of in vitro cell-based assays
Experience with fluorescent based assay development with expertise in cell/tissue culture (sterile technique), flow cytometry, ELISA/microplate cytometry and imaging platforms
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment
Experience with high-throughput screening, programming and multi-specific antibodies
Experience with external collaborations and partnerships
