Battery Algorithms & Controls Design Intern-Non Computer Science Backgrounds
AeroMatrix 12 is currently seeking an intern for their Battery Algorithms team. This position involves working on battery control and algorithms, contributing to the development of battery management features for vehicles and energy products.

Responsibilities
Work in a dynamic, cross-functional team to advance our cutting-edge battery management features
Contribute to our world-acclaimed battery product for mass-market passenger vehicles and energy products
Collect and review laboratory and fleet data to support the development and quality assessment of high-quality battery controls and algorithms to ensure safety and performance of vehicle battery packs in real time
Develop/improve advanced battery controls and algorithms to enhance vehicle performance and customer experience
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as controls, battery cells, embedded software, system engineering, vehicle integration teams to define requirements and perform integration testing
Support the Battery Software department with additional duties/tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of battery chemistries such as LFP and NMC
Knowledge of general battery controls and algorithms design
Experience with battery management systems and EV powertrain
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++
Field(s) of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other related fields
Current or incoming graduate student in an accredited MS or PhD program, with the ability to provide proof of enrollment
Understanding of automotive control subsystems such as propulsion motors, onboard chargers, and thermal control systems
Academic knowledge or practical exposure to electrochemistry and battery modeling methodologies
