Compensation Analyst
D.R. Horton, Inc. is the largest homebuilder in the U.S., engaged in the construction and sale of high-quality homes. They are seeking a Compensation Analyst to assist in building the Compensation function, conducting research on job requirements, and evaluating job positions to ensure competitive employee compensation.

Responsibilities
Perform accurate research to make informed recommendations regarding employee compensation
Provide regular reporting to the field on compensation trends and metrics
Regularly benchmark current job positions to ensure alignment with market, advising management when discrepancies are found
Manage the Annual Merit Increase process by providing reporting and importing approved increases into PeopleSoft
Perform minimum wage audits to ensure compliance with state/county/city minimum wage requirements
Research special compensation programs or incentive systems to support the organization's objectives
Analyze compensation package trends to ensure industry competitiveness and employee retention
Review proposals for new or revised job descriptions to determine Essential Job functions, Minimum Required Qualifications, FLSA status and appropriate salary range
Prepares and maintains a job description for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents
Participate in salary surveys and analyze results to determine organization's market relationship
Review and maintain knowledge of company structure
Remain current on industry trends and regulatory requirements including FLSA and other state wage and hour laws
Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field from a four-year college or university and five to seven years related Compensation experience or equivalent
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Understand Internal Audit requirement with regards to compensation changes
Advanced Excel skills
Possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to focus under pressure and comfortable meeting tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
Proficiency with MS Office and email
Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
The noise level is generally moderate
Preferred
Experience with Payscale/Payfactors, CompAnalyst compensation tools a plus
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to balance competing deadlines
Experience working in the construction and mortgage industry a plus
