They are seeking an Accounting Intern to join their Accounting team for the summer Emerging Talent Program, where the intern will rotate through various areas of the Accounting department, including General Ledger Accounting and Financial Reporting.

Responsibilities
Actively participate in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reconciliations across the General Ledger and Consolidations teams
Successfully complete project-based rotations in Accounts Payable, Tax, and Financial Reporting, demonstrating an understanding of each function’s unique impact on the business
Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation for financial statements and tax filings, ensuring 100% accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Collaborate effectively with teams to gather financial data for accounting insights
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting at a four year university. If currently enrolled, must be at least in Sophomore year
Must be a current Dutch Bros crew member for at least 1 year
Strong academic foundation in general accounting, profit and loss, and financial statements
General understanding of corporate accounting and monthly close processes
Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions
Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches. Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds
Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls
Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions
Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools
Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools
