Customer Support Specialist
VantageClear is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to provide friendly, accurate support to customers using their certification programs. This role is focused on answering phones and messages, guiding users to the right certificate, and resolving basic course and technical issues.
Responsibilities
Answer inbound phone calls and respond to customer emails/messages in a timely, professional manner
Explain VantageClear programs and help customers determine which certificate is the best fit for their situation (e.g., MediClear, DataClear, VantageClear)
Support users who are stuck during a course or exam by troubleshooting common issues and providing clear next steps
Assist with general IT/help desk-style issues (basic browser/login/troubleshooting, navigation support, access problems)
Resend course information, access links, or instructions as needed
Verify certificates and support certificate status inquiries and validation requests
Accurately document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions (notes/tickets as applicable)
Escalate complex technical problems or edge-case issues to the appropriate internal team member
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a customer-first experience in every interaction
Contribute feedback to improve FAQs, support scripts, and help documentation over time
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
1+ year of customer service experience required
Comfortable using computers and web-based platforms (email, browser troubleshooting, basic account/access support)
Strong communication skills (clear, friendly, and solution-oriented)
Ability to stay calm and helpful with frustrated customers
Organized and detail-oriented; able to follow procedures and document accurately
