Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk

Learning Consultant is seeking a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to support their Finance team during a high-volume period. This role involves reviewing and processing invoices, reconciling vendor details, and maintaining accuracy in a paperless workflow.

Responsibilities

Review and process invoices, check requests, credit card transactions, and employee reimbursements
Verify and reconcile vendor details, payment data, and accounting codes for accuracy
Follow up on outstanding invoices with internal teams and external vendors
Respond to routine inquiries related to web-based AP systems
Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume, paperless workflow
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including overtime when required
Support additional accounting and finance projects as assigned

Required

Proficiency in accounts payable systems
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and spreadsheet/database tools
Knowledge of AP processes, standards, and best practices
Understanding of general accounting and financial principles
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Associate's degree required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred
At least 1 year of accounting or finance experience preferred
At least 1 year of hands-on accounts payable experience preferred
Prior experience in a professional services or legal environment strongly preferred
