Investment Securities Trader/Analyst

Harbour Trust Company is seeking an Investment Securities Trader/Analyst to manage key aspects of the investment team’s trading and portfolio management processes. The role involves trade execution, investment reporting, and collaborating with Wealth Advisors while serving as a liaison between the investment team and other functional areas.

Responsibilities

Executes most securities trading for most of the firm’s stocks, bonds, mutual funds and stock options
Manages asset transfer and account opening/closing process working with Middle Office, and Wealth Advisors and Portfolio Managers
Maintains relationships with brokers and collaborates with Operations Department to resolve settlement issues
Assists Portfolio Managers with strategy change execution in client accounts, including security purchases, sales and swaps
Assists the Portfolio Managers with Monitoring/reporting of asset allocation and performance
Monitors process of overdraft protections and overdraft resolution
Operationally setting up new assets on the system, account restrictions and exclusions, and associated models/user defined codes
Completes fiduciary fee review of incoming IRA accounts
Works with Portfolio Managers to develop investment proposals for a client’s financial goals and risk tolerance
Supports Senior Portfolio Managers and CIO by developing and preparing reporting packets for client meetings
Monitors global macroeconomic conditions and financial markets
Monitors fundamentals of firm’s stock and bond positions
Participates on the Investment Committee, making asset allocation strategy and individual asset selections recommendations
Assists Senior Portfolio Managers and CIO in curating and disseminating investment research for asset selection, investment committee and Wealth Advisors
Assists the Portfolio Managers and CIO by preparing reports on a monthly, quarterly, semiannual basis for the BOD and the Planning Meeting
Participates in account review process, auditing the firm’s portfolios on an annual basis for compliance
Works with Portfolio Managers to resolve investment compliance issues

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance
02 years' experience in wealth or investment management/securities industry
Sharp analytic and math skills
Strong Excel and Adobe skills
Excellent organizational skills, effectively manages time and priorities
Writes clearly and informatively, edits work for spelling and grammar
Openly and respectfully questions colleagues to gain clarity and understanding
Must professionally maintain confidential information

Preferred

Experience analyzing individual equity and fixed income securities
CFA candidate or designation
