Responsibilities
Report development and maintenance: Design, create, and maintain custom reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Trending reports) and Discovery Boards
Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with business leaders to gather and analyze reporting requirements, translating them into technical specifications
Performance and optimization: Monitor and optimize existing reports for performance, accuracy, and user experience
Data integrity and security: Ensure data integrity and apply proper security and access controls for all reports
Prism analytics: Build and manage scalable data models and dashboards using Workday Prism Analytics to support cross-functional reporting
Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve report-related issues, providing timely resolutions and end-user support
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and training materials for end-users
Continuous improvement: Stay informed of Workday updates and new features, assessing their impact on existing reports and proactively planning for enhancements
Implementation: Lead or support the design and implementation of Workday security frameworks for clients
Advisory: Advise clients on best practices for Workday security design, architecture, and maintenance
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and compliance, to define and refine access controls and user provisioning processes
Testing and deployment: Support testing activities and deployment of new functionality, including security testing
Risk mitigation: Analyze security architecture and provide recommendations for improvement to mitigate risk
Qualification
Required
Proven hands-on experience as a Workday Reporting Specialist or similar role
Strong proficiency in Workday reporting tools, including Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and Dashboards
Expertise with Workday Prism Analytics is highly desirable
In-depth knowledge of Workday data architecture and security frameworks
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Workday security, particularly in a client-facing or implementation environment
Comprehensive knowledge of Workday security, including domain and business process security policies, security groups, and segregation of duties (SoD)
Strong client relationship management, communication, and project management skills
Understanding of industry compliance standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR) and how they relate to Workday
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues independently
Preferred
Workday certification in Reporting
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Knowledge of Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors)
