Responsibilities
Perform quality testing on PCIe systems, including Gen5 and Gen6 interfaces
Collaborate with design and hardware teams to ensure PCIe link performance meets industry standards
Developing tests techniques and methodologies to test our new products for functional completeness and accuracy/performance
Test coding in an object-orientated software environment. Debugging, verifying, and deploying the tests to the product team and ultimately deploying the tests to the factory for production use
Using your functional and performance tests, collaborate with the entire product team to identify, debug and resolve product integration and performance issues
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience in PCIe system testing and validation (Gen5 or Gen6 preferred)
Proficiency in eye diagram analysis and Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT)
Familiarity with PCIe protocol compliance and signal integrity principles
Experience with PEX PCIe Switches (Broadcom PEX90144 or similar) or motherboard-level PCIe testing
Strong understanding of high-speed digital communication and related verification tools
Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software interactions in PCIe environments
BSEE or BSCE
5+ years of relevant experience as a product test or hardware verification engineer with a focus on digital instrumentation
Preferred
Knowledge of industry compliance standards for PCIe
Experience with test automation frameworks for PCIe validation
Familiarity with oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and signal integrity tools
Background with object-orientated programming; C++, C# preferred
