Responsibilities
Lead accounting for insurance liabilities, reserves, and complex balance sheet items under U.S. GAAP and statutory standards
Develop and maintain liability accounting policies, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory requirements
Provide technical analysis and guidance on mergers, acquisitions, reinsurance transactions, and strategic initiatives
Serve as a subject matter expert, advising internal teams on best practices and emerging trends
Drive processes to operationalize new accounting guidance and support cross-functional collaboration
Qualification
Required
10+ years in GAAP and statutory insurance accounting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred
Strong experience with business combinations, reinsurance accounting, and technical accounting research
Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills
Analytical, proactive, and able to challenge assumptions with well-reasoned recommendations
Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
