Responsibilities
Assists in the implementation of recreation programs and ensures a safe, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere for all participants (ages 3 to 12)
Provides effective communication with all internal and external user groups
Attends and participates in program and operational meetings - providing input and updates on programs, events and services
Supports Recreation Supervisor with patron relations, registrations, special events and programs
Assists in the supervision of all youth program staff by providing work direction, monitoring activities, coordinating schedules, organizing meetings and assisting with all aspects of summer operations
Qualification
Required
Requires a high school diploma or GED, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work
Must be First Aid and CPR certified
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have a valid driver's license, as employees may travel from park to park
Previous experience working with children is required
Preferred
Previous experience working in similar field, developing and implementing programs and activities for children
Previous leadership experience
Experience working with people with disabilities
