Responsibilities
Provide specialized instructional support for elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Cognitive Impairments (CI)
Manage caseloads including 1 to 2 classrooms in 2nd/3rd grades and 1 classroom in 4th/5th grades
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to foster student growth and success
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state education standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
Active Special Education Teacher license
Minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Active Michigan Special Education license with certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Cognitive Impairment (CI)
Experience teaching K-12 students in special education settings, particularly in elementary levels
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to implement evidence-based instructional strategies for students with diverse learning profiles
