Responsibilities
Provide direct instruction and support to students with cognitive impairments in grades K through 2
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
active Special Education Teacher license
minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Valid Special Education License with a CI or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) endorsement
Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or a commitment to obtain and maintain this certification annually
Experience working within special education settings, particularly with young children who have cognitive impairments
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
