Responsibilities
Teaching film and video production and post-production concepts in a dynamic, engaging format
Inspiring and supporting students with a "hands-on" and active approach as they progress through the courses
Teaching practical hands-on methods for using cameras, grip and lighting equipment, and production audio hardware
Focusing on student creativity to achieve high-quality results with both group and independent video projects
Fine-tuning the curriculum as directed and contributing to the creation of engaging lesson plans
Creating a safe, supportive, creative, and dynamic environment for students
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or G.E.D
3+ years of related experience OR education in a related field
Experience in narrative film production
Experience in live video production
Professional experience with Adobe Premiere
Professional experience with Adobe After Effects
Professional knowledge of Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve
Working knowledge of Blackmagic and RED digital cinema camera systems
Production experience related to lighting, cinematography, and field audio
Deep passion for mentorship and helping others of all learning types
Passionate about inspiring, mentoring, and helping others learn
Flexible schedule
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
May work outdoors in varying weather conditions during class-related projects
Must be able to lift 60 pounds at times
Must be able to physically access and navigate each department at our facility
Preferred
Formal education in a related career field is preferred
Experience with live video production and streaming
Knowledge of story development and screenwriting
Experience with the Canvas LMS
Experience teaching in a live, online format
Demo reel or portfolio available upon request
