Utah Labs is launching a brand new podcast and is seeking a Part-Time Podcast Moderator. The role involves moderating audio-only segments of a rapid-fire current-events podcast by delivering neutral prompts based on provided topics and sources during recording sessions.

Responsibilities

Review the host’s weekly topics and provided links/clips
Summarize key claims into one-sentence prompts with source attribution (e.g., CNN, Fox, MSNBC, AP, Reuters, TikTok/Instagram, etc.)
During recording, deliver prompts and move to the next one (no debate or commentary)
In prep, optionally suggest additional angles or topics as desired

Qualification

Required

Strong news + social media literacy
Can summarize complex issues accurately in one sentence
Comfortable with polarizing topics while staying neutral
