Responsibilities
Supervise up to 5 employees to includes both Shipping Coordinators and Material Support Specialists
Carries out supervisory responsibilities to include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Measures and maintains safety, quality, cost, delivery requirements for department
Coordinates with other departments to facilitate efficient operations
Ensures timeliness and accuracy of inventory and inventory control activities to include cycle count program
Provide coaching and corrective action when needed
Develops work goals and departmental projects and recommends measures to improve performance
Develops and maintain standard work procedures
Perform daily communication meetings
Manage all budget requirements
Ensure safety and housekeeping of working environment
Provide input and information needed to justify capital equipment
Management of department Payroll
Participation in Lean Manufacturing Initiatives
Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree plus 2 years or more of manufacturing operations experience
OR High School Diploma/GED plus 10 years or more of manufacturing operations experience
Two years or more of supervisory experience
Preferred
Experience within a medical devices or regulated environment
Lean manufacturing experience
