The role of AI Technical Recruiter involves owning the end-to-end recruiting process for AI/ML and technical roles while building a proactive pipeline of top talent and engaging with the AI community.

Responsibilities
Own end-to-end recruiting for AI/ML, research engineering, and adjacent technical roles
Partner across the company to recruit for non technical roles as needed (e.g., product, ops, GTM)
Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of top AI talent so we’re never starting from zero when a role opens
Translate technical requirements into recruiting strategy: quickly calibrate on what “great” looks like and turn that into clear sourcing targets and screening rubrics
Stay embedded in the AI community: actively participate in SF/Bay Area AI events, reading groups, meetups, and conferences; maintain relationships that generate warm intros
Partner with hiring managers to design interview loops, ensure bar alignment, and keep pass-through signal healthy
Qualification
Required
2+ years recruiting specifically for AI/ML, research engineering, or ML infrastructure roles (strongly preferred)
3+ years of recruiting experience overall
Experience recruiting for frontier AI labs, LLM startups, or research heavy engineering orgs
Ability to self calibrate quickly and operate independently
Excellent communication, organization, and candidate first instincts
Preferred
STEM degree (BS/MS/PhD) or equivalent technical background/fluency
Existing network in the SF / Bay Area AI ecosystem
Track record building recruiting systems/functions from scratch
