Responsibilities

Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of patients
Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic illnesses
Provide routine check-ups and preventive care services
Educate patients on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention
Discuss age-appropriate screenings and immunizations with patients
Manage and monitor patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
Coordinate care with specialists when needed
Foster open communication to address family health concerns
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients
Consult with and refer patients to specialists as needed
Coordinate care plans with other healthcare providers
Respond to medical emergencies and provide initial stabilization
Engage in community health initiatives and educational programs

Required

Medical Doctor degree or DO Degree from an accredited institution
3 years residency training in Family Medicine
Current unrestricted State Medical License
Board certification in Family Medicine
Current State D.E.A. Certificate
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to continuing medical education and staying informed about advancements in family medicine
The work schedule may include evenings and weekends to accommodate patient needs
Advanced English is required

Preferred

Spanish and Creole are preferred
