Responsibilities
Conduct patient histories and physical examinations
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions
Develop preventive care and health maintenance plans
Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans
Refer patients to specialists as needed
Review diagnostic test results and adjust care plans accordingly
Maintain accurate and complete medical records in the EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams
Participate in medical staff meetings and continuing education
Qualification
Required
MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent with U.S. training)
Completion of accredited U.S. residency in Internal Medicine
Board Eligible or Board Certified
Active, unrestricted New York State medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA registration (or eligibility)
Eligible for Medicare/Medicaid enrollment
BLS or ACLS certification
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable working in an EMR environment
