Consulting
Responsibilities
Observing and collecting traffic data
Performing intersection evaluations
Completing traffic and corridor studies
Conducting analyses using simulation and modeling software
Preparing preliminary and final designs
Developing construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Strong interest in Traffic Engineering
Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a team environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Valid Driver's license
Preferred
BS degree with emphasis in Traffic Engineering or Transportation
Internship or professional experience in traffic study, traffic plan development or related transportation projects
Previous experience or training with AutoCAD and/or Microstation
Prior experience or general working knowledge of traffic analysis software, including Synchro / SimTraffic, VISSIM, RODEL, or CORSIM
EIT certification or ability to attain EIT within 6 months of employment
